My experiences

This week I was asked to connect one of the arguments made by Horwitz or one of his subjects in the novel Confederates in the Attic to my personal experiences. My experience relates to June Wells argument claiming that 'the South is the better half of the world somehow.'
During my time here in Georgia Tech, I have never felt out of place since the people here are very friendly and are always courteous and helpful. From what I have heard about the North (not having a first hand experience),that the people there are indifferent and not as courteous as the people in the South, and in terms of hospitality the Southerners are much more hospitable than the people in the North. After hearing all this I too believe that the South is the better of the two.
